Hairspray
Working with Broadway in Boston a second time, I had the chance to interpret Hairspray, including characters like Tracy's mother Edna. I loved collaboratively developing such creative ways to visually display the rich musicality of this play. I felt even more of an ethical responsibility to properly convey the production's racial themes.

Tina Turner
Working with Broadway in Boston, I had the opportunity to interpret Tina Turner the musical. I loved the way interpreting a character like Ike Turner forced me out of my comfort zone by putting linguistic access before my own personal unease with portraying such subject matter.

One of my first interpreting jobs out of college, I got to work with a racially and gender diverse interpreting team on the recasted revival of 1776 at the American Repertory Theater in Boston. Interpreting a role like John Adams challenged me to figure out how to convey such a complex history with the linguistic integrity any Deaf audience member rightfully desires.
